Looking forward to the info. Many years ago I saw the "hockey stick" temperature chart. Thought I'd look at the latest chart. Though still discussed 2020/2021 it is always the same chart that cuts off at 1998. Havent they ever updated their infamous work?

LOL, you've got to admit to the quality of tenacity! Neither have they handed over the data and details of PCA as directed by a judge. I can only conclude they're guilty of sloppy stats. To flatten the Roman, dark age and medieval warming periods is tantamount to insanity but I guess Mann got his PhD and plenty of grant awards. The long series CO2 chart by IAC will be served up in a newsletter later this week and this will raise an eyebrow or two.

Well John you bring Confucius into the subject - and of course many of his quoted sayings are apocryphal, but one I believe he did say is -

"Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance"

Climate science should dwell on that.

So the CMIP data is actual CO2 data from Mauna Loa "backcast" 2000 years via some model(s) and incorporating (presumably) other inputs - are these explicit? or is it real data from ice-core sampling?

It's everything thrown into the pot but, as I shall reveal, it is 97% modelled estimation choc-a-block full of artefact.
