Strange 4 period, one inter war period. As you say no temperature instability.... key issue. I thought I'd look at HadCRUT and found it was created by The Met office and The University of East Anglia. HA! HA! Immediately totally trustful. Here's a quote from the sea temp group."The data set is presented as a set of interchangeable realisations that capture the temporal and spatial characteristics of the estimated uncertainties in the biases". Is this GOBBLEDEGOOK or has my education failed me.

We could call it HadCRAP! People forget that weather stations were established to report on the weather. They were not established to provide a scientifically valid reference dataset for the long term climate, hence ‘realisations’ and other card tricks. Still, it earns them a bunch of cash and a secure future.

There is no longer anywhere safe to live. And big storms! Raise the taxes! The smarties will know what to do! Manufacture giant glass bottles into which toss all our carbon. Carbon volunteers requested, “do your part”!

If you want to quickly and easily scare the uninformed then the weather is a mighty fine choice. We might call it ‘Nature’s false flag’.

Yes, 2023 was a stinker. Funny how El Nano soon gets forgotten when the Met Office/NOAA drool over sizzling temps.
