Good points all. The public is always the last to know. But if we’ve been looking around enough and are able to expose the hypocrisy of and just plain stupid nature of this “science” we are fed for mass consumption it is revealed to be just another series of parlour tricks for our entertainment. What is actually happening with our sun and EM energy here on Earth is the issue we are in need of facing openly and soberly. I am really not the person to have to write expertly about this. Agree decking the ridiculous Climate Change agenda is necessary - even if it means telling the whole truth.
Thanks confirms things Tony Hellyer has pointed out many times ..what I find interesting is he points out the ebb and flo of glaciers is largely due to snow fall rather than temps
Tony is a dude - I love his stuff! Yep, it's snow that causes the movement and not melt. You can demonstrate this for yourself by pouring a pool of custard on a baking sheet, letting it set, then pouring more custard on top. Everything that falls off the edge is the phenomenon we call glacial 'calving', which is fraudulently taken by alarmists to be a sign of melting.
That being said some glaciers are genuinely melting (evaporating) but that melt started way before the industrial revolution got going - all we are seeing is a progression of that longer cycle and blaming it on people.
Ok thanks.., I think much of the so called warming in Australia can be explained by longer wet and drought cycles , as Tony says 1936 was the warmest year up to late 40’s when it began to rain with 56 being major flooding in eastern Australia...the last three year have been so wet and so cool with so much cloud cover..
What is also important to point out is wind and solar and the mineral resources required for batteries all are products of China and make us dependent on their supply chain... we have see how foolish that is...
Yes indeed, there has been a net loss over this period up to 2007 or thereabouts. What happens next is anyone's guess but my money is on a steady gain. I'll be covering Antarctica in a future series. In many ways this is more complex because we're talking about a mix of seasonal sea ice, a near permanent ice shelf with submarine volcanic activity below and land-locked ice. The land-locked ice data also needs to be viewed in terms of zonal dynamics as you will see!
Brilliant - I like how you say things in a way that a severely challenged person like me in numbers can understand a great deal of what you’re describing. Your conclusion made me giggle - I too wear the wrong socks 😊
It is nearly always the case that a statistical look at Arctic Sea Ice treats the millions of square Km's as being just sat there as numbers in a spreadsheet reacting to how much CO2 there is in the air (if you are an alarmist). But the Arctic is much more dynamic than that and melt seasons are affected by weather happenings, especially substantial ones. - who have thunk it?
Take 2012, which usually shows as the lowest area at the end of the melt season. I have not looked today, but from memory I think the area value in July 2012 was not much different to July 2011, but in August 2012 a huge low pressure area with extremely strong winds went up into the Arctic and broke up large areas of ice and drove some of it down in to warmer water where it melted.
WUWT - had this piece up in September 2012. though they noted the effect of the storm ealier in August I think. I believe Tony Heller will have something on the subject - after all he usually does!!
As your article alludes alarmists were very tardy in acknowledging that this "record" low area was not melt in the normal sense. Of course as you say John, Prof. Wadhams also jumped on the this confirmation bias bandwagon at the time. "look at it now, Look at it now!!"
Absolutely so! The weather/sea conditions can induce rapid spreading of thin ice that disappears alarming at the next whim and it can determine whether ice forms at all in certain regions. We'll get a better feel for this when I flip to looking at the MASIE data.
John, what do you think about collaborating with Jordan Peterson who just released a climate episode of his podcast / or at least, letting him give truth a voice regarding the falsification of the combustocalypse they are rendering if we do not obey smart city slavery? https://youtu.be/reaABJ5HpLk
He's a big dude so I hope he teams up with climate big hitters like Anthony Watts or John Christy, for I am but a statistician with my finger in a dozen pies!

So essentially it is correct to say that the arctic sea ice IS melting over this period? What’s happening at the Antarctic end?

I hear you. Steve Kirsch is looking for data analysts and I am pretty sure he would love to work with you

LOL - why thank you kindly!
