After thrashing around with NOAA’s Global Historical Climatology Network Daily (GHCNd) database in a rather cavalier fashion in part 1 of this series it would appear (from a sample of 71 land-based stations) that the UK has steadily been getting wetter since 1900 to the tune of +0.64mm mean daily rainfall per century (p<0.001).
