More fascinating stuff! It also occured to me that your name may well be a nom de plume, after John Dee the mathematician, astronomer, astrologer and occultist in Elizabeth 1st's time? If not your parents named you well!
It is indeed a nom de plume that is a cryptic play on my own name (Dee loved cryptic ciphers), but came as an idea following a cluster of the most synchronous happenings. I once served as an adviser in Elizabeth II's government and have studied mathematics, astronomy and occultism. If I discover that Dee loved cake then that would take the biscuit!
I hide under "docross" on social media as I then feel free to say what I think about the Covid b****cks (lockdowns, abuse of PCR testing, denial of natural immunity, social distancing, masks and latterly "vaccines") without fear of GMC retribution. I'm with you on almost everything bar biscuits!
JD. I was so disappointed to discover my Norman ancestors lost the family castle around 1600, I still can’t get over the embarrassment. I am however happy with my loose connection to Peter the Great. On thread: I like your current of probing into arctic data. I plotted graphs of some of the Rutgers University stuff with my grandson a year or so back.
Jordan Petersen has recently entered the climate change debate. Here’s his podcast with Richard Lindzen.

A shame they couldn't keep that (see what I did there?). Rutgers is the home of snow!
Yes, digitize graphical data using basic drawing software... had to do it a number of times myself, T
tiresome but works. And for your data on sea ice AMAZING. How do you balance warming and COVID lives???
I presume by getting us to wear masks to remove the CO2 we exhale :-)
